SoD Guild

Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery!
The MMO Buds SOD Guild is a group of like-minded gamers coming together to form a guild in WoW: SoD with the goal of having a casual, yet still kind of sweaty approach to raiding. While we clear raid every reset, we don’t aggressively speed run, but we do still make an effort to parse well and compete with ourselves every clear of the raid. Most of the team are parents, but while we’re old, we still like to pump and challenge each other to play at a high level.
We’re Recruiting!
While we prefer to keep our core roster smaller, we will always consider exceptional players with great attitudes. We’re always accepting players for a more casual bench/backup role or even socials just looking to hang out as well. If you’re interested, please get in touch!

Team Agreements
Most of our teammates have demanding jobs, family, or simply don’t have the 60+ hours per week to put into games like we used to. Luckily, Season of Discovery lends itself extremely well to this and doesn’t require extensive demand.
We raid every Monday at 8:45 pm Eastern!
While the team wants to take the casual approach, our players are expected to bring their A-game and play at the highest level they are capable of. Week to week, we expect our players to try to improve and progress for the limited time we have scheduled weekly.
One of the most important aspects of our team is reiteration that we are a team, always have good intentions, and we hold each other accountable during our time together. If someone needs help or can improve in some way, we expect teammates to support each other to elevate our performance as a team.
While criticism is important, it’s not enough to just give criticism. Criticism is a collaborative experience in our team, where you identify the problem and work together to solve it. Criticism topics aren’t personal, they’re a team problem to solve collaboratively. Toxicity and intentional negativity aren’t tolerated.
Given the limited time scheduled per week, it’s important the team continue to build relationships, stay in touch, and share knowledge during the rest of the week. The MMO Buds Discord is the perfect place to do this and participation on a daily basis is highly encouraged. Play some other games together too!
As stated before, with a limited schedule, it’s important the team’s time together is used efficiently and effectively to progress. All players are expected to be experts in their class and come prepared with consumables, encounter knowledge, and ready to bring their A-game. This is where staying engaged throughout the week is important and sharing research and criticisms.
While it’s good for us to elevate our gameplay, come prepared, and get down to business when it comes time to progress, there’s something more important – have fun. If any player is not enjoying themselves, it’s encouraged to speak up so we can figure out how to improve that experience. We’re buds who want to play games together; let’s make the best of it!
